The proformeter corrosion uses the natural potential method, which is adopted in many standards such as JSCE-E601-2000. By exposing some rebar and connecting cables to pass a weak electric current, it measures the natural potential of the rebar (steel) within the concrete. The measurement values are displayed as a color map on the main unit and can also be transferred to a computer.
